It was evening walk time, and I was going beside the river.
Instantly, I noticed an unusual flow in the water body near me. I thought it was a crocodile, so I ran away from the riverside to the farmhouse as fast as Prime David Goggins.
Then a nearby farmer, in our local language, laughed and said, “Ha ha… son, why are you running?”
I replied, “Uncle, there’s a crocodile in the river making strange sounds.”
He smiled, looked over the river for a moment, and then said:
“Ha ha, son… It’s September. When the river rises during the rainy season, the water at the surface and the water below move at different speeds. That turbulence creates unusual sounds like the one you heard.”
I took a breath, felt relaxed and instantly, it made me think about copywriting on the spot.
Copy flow is the same as a river flow.
It breaks and makes noise when you stop saying something real and start explaining like a robot in a high school lab. But when you keep it natural and conversational, your copy flows better.
